Germany is such a practical and old country with very logical and user friendly infrastructure. The culture is practical and calm. Workers are happier here and the creativity permeates all the land. I learned a lot about how the US works in contrast to Germany and I love my home country way more than the US. Here my friend who is a Plumber Hollywood Florida has to charge so much more than in Germany because of the cost of living.
For example we have universal health care. The US does not. Here in the US expensive and important medical costs such as giving birth are impractical and price gouged. In Germany an entire birth is covered including classes after and child care as well. Plus moms and dads can take an entire year of for child rearing and still have their jobs while also being paid a portion of ones income.
Theres food everywhere at an extremely inexpensive price. Organic and natural foods are actually cheaper and more affordable than processed chemically altered foods. In the US it is the opposite you must pay very high prices for organic food and natural foods.
The restaurants are also very cheap and good quality. For example in Germany I could order my partner and I some persian food in Berlin and pay only 15 euro’s where as in the US that same meal would cost me $40-$50 just for a meal for two.
The country also protects workers by mandating a rest day on Sundays so most shops and stores are closed and not open so workers aren’t over-worked and exhausted.
The autobahn is also another thing that is massively different. It makes practical and logical sense but for some reason if Americans were allowed such a liberty they would abuse it and create even more traffic accidents. In Germany the autobahn is a tool of utility for speed to make trips more efficient than merely a joyride for fun.
In my next blog I will go over more of the differences between the US and Germany.
